Cross Country Camp 2023

Each year since 1974, Orem High Cross Country has participated in summer XC training camp. We feel that this camp is a great opportunity for your athlete to get stronger through a challenging and tough week of training (much at high elevation up over 9500 feet), and have great bonding experiences with their teammates. Each athlete that attends benefits from a great week of training, friendships, and team camaraderie. Here is the information you will need to know about the camp:
When: Monday July 24th - 28th USU Eastern
Where: Price
Cost: $281 per athlete.
(Make Payment to Orem High and Pay at the OHS Finance Office)
Includes transportation to and from camp and to the different runs/activities during the week.
As a camp we do several runs including the Real Thing, and Top of the World (up Scofield Canyon), The Lake Run, and a camp 5k that require transportation.

Meals Included
USU Cafeteria will be providing meals.
What to Expect: If you ask anyone that has ever been to Cross Country camp in the past, this really is the highlight of the summer. You are surrounded by other great kids and you will have the opportunity to not only have fun but will challenge yourself in ways that will strengthen you this season and in life. This Camp will really set the tone for the whole year. We will have full time coaches there to assist you as part of our team. The coaches have many years of experience both participating in and coaching at this camp.
What to Bring:
All camp fees can be paid on Myschoolfees.com or in person at Orem High.
Parent approval (2nd page of this document): Document needs to be completely filled out and back to coach Jacobs by Monday July 24th (Before we depart)
July 24th all fees are due for camp (Unless you have made arrangements with Coach Jacobs for a delayed payment)
Bedding: Beds are provided but the bedding is not. Bring a pillow, sleeping bag, a blanket, (twin) sheets, whatever you need to sleep comfortably for the week.
Personal Care items: Shampoo, towel, and other personal hygiene items.
Shoes: Running Shoes, Sandals (if you have two pairs of running shoes bring them both).
A watch: So that you can tell time - and BE ON TIME!!
Snacks: breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided. But you may want to bring some snacks to keep you energized. We WILL have access to our normal Walmart runs - if you need extra “supplies”
Entertainment: Games, Movies, Frisbee, Swimming, etc...
A Great Attitude and a willingness to push yourself each day and make camp a great experience.
